Boy, 4, dies after swimming at fitness center pool
A 4-year-old boy was found unconscious Friday at a fitness center pool in South Austin.
He was rushed to Dell Children's Medical Center where he died the next day.

According to the boy's father, Colin Holst was swimming in the pool at Lifetime Fitness when a lifeguard noticed that he was in trouble and struggling in the water. Lifeguards pulled him out of the water, performed CPR and called 9-1-1.
Warren Hassinger with Travis County EMS said paramedics continued CPR on the way to the hospital, and the boy was revived. Medical teams at Dell Children's Hospital used "rapid cooling therapy" to put Holst into a coma in hopes of helping him recover, but the boy died the next day.
Jason Thumstrom, director of corporate communications for Lifetime Fitness, told KVUE News the lifeguards followed procedure when they spotted Holst and attempted to revive him, and the team is taking it pretty hard.
"In the face of such an incident, it's an outcome of course none of us were hoping for," Thumstrom said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time."
Thumstrom said the outdoor pool was fully-staffed with seven lifeguards.
Holst's family told KVUE News they are focused on celebrating his life.
"Colin's angels flew to him not while he was sleeping, but while doing something he loved; swimming and enjoying time with his friends and family," said Jeff Holst, father, in an email to KVUE News. "Even though we had no warning that Colin's angels were ready to take him away, they did so in a swift fashion only comparable to Colin's own speed and love for running."
