Fitness Center Earns Award For Fayetteville School District
The Fayetteville School District was recognized Wednesday during the Arkansas Governor's Work-Life Balance Awards celebration in Little Rock.
The school district received the Spotlight Award for providing resources and support to employees who want better to balance the needs of their jobs and their families.
The centerpiece of the district's nomination is an employee fitness center which opened several months ago and is available for to all district employees free of charge.
Gov. Mike Beebe made the presentations. The Governor's Work-Life Balance Awards are presented by the Governor's Family-Friendly Employer Initiative.
A delegation from the school district attended the awards program, including Superintendent Bobby New; Lisa Morstad, the chief financial officer; and Fayetteville School Board member Tim Kring.
