Fitness center, gift shop to come to Kingston center
Business owner Kathy Trogler received approval from the Planning Board Tuesday for her two new businesses that will be located at 167 Main St., at the side of the building at Kingston Village Market.
Earlier Trogler had received a certificate of approval from the Historic District Commission with the condition that the posted temporary signs were changed to permanent signs.
The only condition the planning board placed upon its approval was that Trogler operated the two businesses within the confines of available parking at the location.
One of the businesses is a fitness club called Fit*Necessity and this will offer group fitness classes and personal training sessions for children and adults. The second business called To Every Season is a gift shop and boutique.
Trogler can now proceed to obtain a certificate of occupancy.
Antique, gift shop to expand
Business owner Lynn Coolen of Log Cabin Antiques and Gifts, located at 21 Bartlett St., Kingston, received approval from the Planning Board Tuesday to add an addition to her current business.
Coolen's request fulfilled the terms for an expedited site plan review procedure. Coolen was asked to provide a new site plan and to record an affidavit citing the change. Coolen is expanding her business, which will stay open throughout the building process. This should be completed by the end of May.
