Celebrity fitness trainer to whip Stawell into shape
Northern Grampians residents and business operators will be lining up to learn healthy living tips from celebrity fitness trainer, Michelle Bridges, at two Stawell sessions this Thursday.
After whipping contestants from hit television series The Biggest Loser into shape, Michelle is now touring regional Victoria to encourage healthy eating habits, realistic fitness expectations and easy weight loss techniques.
With support from Northern Grampians Shire Council and Planet Feel Good, Stawell, Michelle will deliver two sessions at the Stawell Entertainment Centre on Thursday.
District business delegates can learn the tips to fitting fitness and good nutrition into their busy working schedules at the 8am session, while the 9am general public session will outline the tools to being consistent and creating new healthy habits to shift the scales and improve your lifestyle.
``We are thrilled to bring such a high-profile trainer to Stawell and encourage anyone interested in a healthy lifestyle to attend the sessions,'' Planet Feel Good instructor, Lisa Cosson said.
Economic development manager, Angelique Lush, said the morning business session was part of the shire's commitment to assisting local businesses.
``We are working to support a healthy and vibrant business community, which in turn promotes a thriving local economy.
``Michelle is a very motivating speaker, and we are pleased to see Planet Feel Good taking the initiative to provide this service to the community,'' Ms Lush said.
A former Australia fitness leader of the year, Michelle Bridges has also achieved success in her career training fitness instructors and clients, leading lectures on the international fitness circuit and is soon to publish a book to help working women with weight-loss.
Participants can register for the event by phoning 5358 8700. A gold coin donation is requested for each session.
