Fitness trainer works out kids album

Bio: Pezzella is an energetic dynamo who taught physical fitness to children, men and women and, in a custom-designed program, to mothers and their strollered offspring. In her work with children, Pezzella noticed that whatever the task, music was motivational. That thought, combined with her piano background and lifelong musical yearnings, yielded 10 fun and uplifting children's songs, conjured mostly while mothering her own daughters. Pezzella partnered with area singer-songwriter and children's music teacher Johanesen (of The Human Condition), augmenting her physical zest with his all-around musicality. He produced the tunes, adding instrumentation and backing vocals (plus the voices of his and Pezzella's friends and friends' children). He also lugged recording equipment to her home weekly during the yearlong process. The resulting "Fun to be Fit" CD will be officially released for sale Saturday at the performance (see below) and party.
Quote: "My goal would be to have a DVD out with the songs and with children, you know, performing and singing and dancing with the music," Pezzella said.
