Kid Fitness Program
At many school districts, the final bell means it's time for most kids to head home. That's not the case in Cascade where many kids want top stick around.
Thanks to a grant, the school began an everyday after school program this year. It's designed to help kids with their studies while providing after school care for the kids of working families.
The kids are given time to work on their homework and any help they may need. The program is also about staying fit. They usually hit the track for some laps and then get a healthy snack. And it's fun.

School officials say the program's worked well because about 70-percent of the district's pupils are taking part.
