Personal fitness available at Coach Me Fit in East GR
A Coach Me Fit franchise recently opened at 2166 Wealthy St. in the heart of Gaslight Village in East Grand Rapids. The fitness center is unique in that it offers only personalized programs and not general memberships. Services include nutritional and healthy lifestyle counseling, personal assessments, and personal individual or group fitness training.

"These programs are based on accountability," said manager Brian Dokter. "If you don't use the gym where you have a membership, you don't get any results. We design workouts inside our facility and outside to help individuals achieve their goals."
Another advantage of a Coach Me Fit membership, said Dokter, is that the facility can accommodate any one of any ability or fitness level. Members include all ages and those with unique physical limitations.
Building accountability into the membership makes a difference and helps make joining a fitness center worthwhile.
"Despite Michigan's struggling economy, our business is doing well," said Dokter. "This (franchise) represents a trend in the fitness industry. People realize the most important thing they can invest in is their health."
The business is open by appointment only. "We are open whenever our clients need us to be," said Dokter.
